Experience how the vast Briksdalsbreen glacier has shaped the lush valley floor over thousands of years. See the smooth-edged rocks and the lush vegetation in the valley floor. You will be surprised by the many beautiful flowers that grow here!   

KLEIVAFOSSEN

Kleivafossen has long showered tourists on their way over the bridge to Briksdalsbreen. This waterfall is one of the most photographed motifs in all of Norway.

When the glacier melts, the waterfalls flow down the mountainside in many streams. Briksdalen . Like white silver ribbons, they rush down steep rocky cliffs in their wild dance towards the sparkling, blue-green waters at the valley bottom. It is as if the water is in a very busy state after being frozen for hundreds of years. The roar of the waterfalls, especially Kleivafossen, is part of the natural experience that has made Briksdalen known.

WATERFALLING BREEZE RIVER

On the way through Oldedalen to Briksdal You will see a variety of beautiful, wild waterfalls. Gytrifossen, Nelkjifossen, Yrifossen, Kvamsfossen, Rustøyfossen, Høgalmefossen, Volefossen, Svadåna, Briksdalsfossen and Tjøtabreelva. The waterfalls flow in a wild dance towards the sea; it is as if the water is very busy after several hundred years of being frozen as ice.
