NATIONAL PARK

The mighty Briksdalsbreen is an arm of Jostedalsbreen, the largest glacier on the European mainland - protected as a national park.

Jostedalsbreen National Park has an enormous range of natural types, from lush deciduous forests in the lowlands to glaciers and high mountains over 2000 meters above sea level. The protected area has a continuous length of over 60 kilometers and about half of the national park is covered by ice.
